American born with Irish and Scottish heritage, Olivia grew up with a love for Celtic music and culture. In addition to signing up for Irish dance lessons at a young age, she was exposed to the broader world of Irish language and traditional music through organizations such as Irish Traditions Atlanta, and events such as Atlanta's Celtic Christmas, the Swannanoa Gathering's Celtic Week, Scoil Eigse, and IrishFest Atlanta.
A champion Irish singer, winning gold medals in both Irish and English singing at the MIdest Fleadh Cheoil, Olivia also competed on the world stage at the 2015 All Ireland competition in Sligo, Ireland (Fleadh Cheoil naEireann) as the only American qualifier in Irish Gaelic singing. Her various experiences as a competitor and performer gave her the opportunity to meet and learn from a whole host of talented trad singers and musicians, whose direct and indirect influences are reflected in her music.
Recent collaborators include Ashley Davis (featured on Olivia's new original single, Little Fairy), Cormac De Barra, Dave Curley, and Colin Farrell, with other notable influences including Cathy Jordan, Seamus Begley, Cathie Ryan, John Doyle, and Joanie Madden.
In addition to her traditional roots, Olivia is a classically trained singer with an extensive background in musical theater and opera. Blessed with perfect pitch, she also interned with Lisa Kelly, founding member of Celtic Woman, and has performed with Sarah Brightman, Emmet Cahill, and with John Maschinot as a member of the Celtic Company and Ah Surely.
In addition to singing with her own band, since 2021 Olivia has been a lead vocalist with the Celtic Angels, performing across the US on their main Spring and Christmas tours. In 2023 she co-produced and released her debut album, Misty Morning Shore, which includes popular and traditional Irish song selections, all sung with Olivia's powerfully clear, emotional, and lyrical style.
